Alberta Womble

Alberta was born in Waterproof, Louisiana on February 5, 1932 to the parents of Leila and Oliver Warren. She was the oldest of out five children, Dorothy Mason ,Allen Bay Warren, Ollie Warren and Leila Warren.

 At a young age Alberta had to aid with the wellbeing of her siblings while her parents worked which caused her to put her education on hold. Growing up she valued the time she spend with siblings learning about the lord and singing gospel music.

 In 1948 she married Howard Womble Sr.  There were six children born from this marriage. Alberta and Howard Sr. moved their family to California in 1960. Alberta worked different jobs to ensure her children never went without anything, but the job she took the most pride in was being a homemaker and she was excellent at it.

 Alberta became a Jehovah’s witness in the early 1980’s in Compton, California where she attended the Kingdom Hall on a regular basis.

 Alberta was a very beautiful hard working strong sophisticated lady who loved the lord and her family dearly. She taught all of her children and grandchildren the word of god and how to love each other. Alberta always emphasized to her daughters and granddaughters how to carry themselves as respectable ladies. Alberta was very big on fashion, she always made sure she was well dressed and that her hair was always nicely done.

 She was a very kind soul who never turned anyone away, she would let you in her home with no hesitation. She was very big on eating healthy always telling her children and grandchildren to eat healthy and take care of their selves so they will live a long life.

 Alberta was called home to be with god on January 11,2021 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 88. A beautiful loving soul has left us and will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
