The Life Of Ben Hilton Thomas
Ben Hilton Thomas was born on May 14, 1943 in Houston TX, to Silton and Virlean Thomas. He was the sixth of eleven children from their union.
He was a minister at East Mont Oilver Baptist Church in Port Arthur TX.
In 1978 he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior, as well as his calling to be a minister. Ben was a graduate class of 1961 from Phillis Wheatley High School in Houston TX. He earned his degree in theology in 1982 from Southern Bible Institute in Dallas TX. From there he became a pastor, teacher, and founder of Truly Baptist Church in Houston TX.
He was very passionate about ministering and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. His sole mission was to bring as many souls to Christ.
Ben will be missed by all. He leaves behind wife Evelyn, four daughters; Benita, Yolanda, Bennel and Kris, also stepson Ivan. Grandchildren; Kaelond, Bre Anne, Anecia, Makayla and Kavon. Two great grandchildren Javon and Jerminah. Three sisters Delores, Marion, Rachel, and one brother Charles. He also leaves to cherish a host of family and friends.
