Frank Alvin Bradshaw
September 16, 1955 – January 20, 2021
Frank A. Bradshaw was born September 16, 1955 in Brawley, CA. to his late parents, Lester and Betty Bradshaw. Their union brought forth five children in which Frank was the last to come. He grew up in the City of Compton where he attended Caldwell Elementary, Enterprise Middle School, and went to Compton High School (class of 73). He was also a legendary member of the neighborhood in the community called “The Hole”.
Before graduating High School, Frank joined the Army and served as a mechanic engineer, stationed in Virginia. Frank always said his time spent in the service taught him patience, discipline, and leadership in which he passed down to his family. In 1986, he married his middle school buddy Cecilia Helon. Together they built a beautiful life and on January 16th celebrated 35 years of love and marriage.
Frank was “The Man” with the “Gifted Hands” who could fix just about anything. He had a business cleaning carpets, enjoyed working on cars (especially lowriders), loved fishing, and was always there when someone was in need and called upon him.
In his older years, he spent less time under a car and more time in the Word of God. He was a faithful servant of the Usher Board at his home church “City of Refuge” in Gardena, CA under Bishop Noel Jones. He was humble and grateful to share with others, what he learned from his life before and after he found Christ. He ministered. He fellowshipped. He inspired! He was “Brother Bradshaw”.
In the early morning of January 20, 2021, Frank’s assignment here on earth was complete. He was called to the heavens to be with the Lord. He was a Husband, Father, Grandfather (Grumpy), Brother, Uncle, Cousin, lifetime Friend, and so much more. He loved us all and always lifted us in prayer.
