JoAnn Prudholme

JoAnn Prudholme was born on November 6, 1951 in Watts, CA to Charles Henry Prudholme & Lola Armstrong. Charles had two sets of families the first set were JoAnn, Robin, Claudia, Chucky, and Cherry. Later Mr. Prudholme had Robert, Johnny, Debra, Darryl, Anthony, Sandra, Ricky, Susan, Angela, Lisa, Charles Jr., and Victoria. Having a lot of brothers and sisters Aunty Jo is now leaving a lot of nieces, nephews and cousins who care about her dearly.

She attended school in Los Angeles, CA and graduated from Jordan High School. Many years later, she birthed 3 wonderful children: Jamaal P. Dunwar, Jamial M. Barnes, and Robert James. After her sister Cherry Prudholme passed away she took in her son,Tommy Allen. Taking him in as her son she loved her family dearly and would do anything to put smiles on their faces. Residing in Gardena, the 5 of them lived on 144th Street in Gardena, CA. The city of Gardena where she had a lot of friends everyone in the neighborhood knew who she was. She always wanted to help people and see them do great things in the world.

Family is something she cherished the most. All her nieces and nephews always visited her and slept in her house. If she had space, you had a place to stay, not turning her back on anyone including the homeless with Aunty Jo you'd always had a home. Her smile was so bright and it made the bad days good and the good days better. Very clever and smart she did everything with her heart. Joyful and strong Aunty Jo wanted everyone to get along.
